Boris Roth

Boris graduated in 2016 from the Slovak University of Technology with a degree in Automation and Digitization in Industry. That same year, he began hisprofessional journey at Slovnaft, joining the Automation and Process Intelligence team as an Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer.

Over the course of seven years, he designed, implemented, and maintained APC controllers at the Slovnaft refinery. Boris also contributed to the development of our Refinery Information System (REFIS), where he progressed from developer to lead developer, eventually becoming the team leader.

For the past year and a half, he has been leading the Automation and Process Intelligence department at Slovnaft. The team is responsible for field automation and the digitization of both the refinery and petrochemical operations – covering everything from field instrumentation and control systems to advanced systems, digital transformation, and cybersecurity.
