Mr.Latasa is a Industry Engineer, MSc in Energy Process with more than 31 years of experience in all engineering aspects of Process, thermal, cogeneration, chemical plants, from process engineering to design, feasibility studies and technical supervision. He is elected member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Technical Expert Advisor of the Bilbao Oil & Gas Conferences for the BEC (Bilbao Exhibition Centre), and has a broad experience in Project Management and Management of engineering organizations, extensive experience in working and coordinating international teams. Is an expert in process design and detail design of critical equipment for process units, with extensive experience and concern in eFuels (Coprocessing, HVO Units, synthetic fuels), descarbonización, Hydrogen Units and gasification Units, has been working as process senior engineer and process manager and leader for hydrotreatment and isomerization units for PEMEX, revamps in hydrotreatment and sulphur units for PEMEX and REPSOL, feasibility studies and Conceptual Design Packages for refineries for Slavyansk Eko (Russia), GEPETROL (Ec.Guinea) or Malasyan Oil Refinery, petrochemical complexes configuration with integration with eCo Petrochemicals (Royal Commission of Jubail for Jubail3 expansion PreFEED) and Project Manager and Critical equipment Management for PETROPERU (Talara Refinery) in the PMC services Team, Technical Advisor for ORLEN or ECOPETROL and Technical coordination and advisor for gas Processing and conditioning units.

 

Mr.Latasa is expert in process simulation with ASPEN (HYSYS),THERMOFLOW, COFE, DWSIM and PETROPLAN and has several International Publications and conferences related to Energy, Process safety, Marine Terminals, Heavy crudes refining, refineries configuration for extended crudes processing capacity, gas and hydrogen units and well gas processing among others.

 

Mr.Latasa is the Executive Technology Director of the Oil & Gas Area and Oil & Gas Business Manager in Middle East of IDOM.
