Technology Director, Clean Fuels, Lummus

Jackeline Medina performs the role of Technology Director for the Clean Fuels group of Lummus technology. She joined Lummus in 2007, where she performed the role of Technologies Manager for several technologies, including Sulfuric and Solid Catalyst Alkylation, Etherification, production of Isooctene, and production of high-purity Isobutylene. She is now leading R&D and Engineering activities related to producing SAF from Ethanol. She has supported and led the development and implementation of first-of-its-kind technologies. She supports the licensing technology and business development activities worldwide, she oversaw the execution of process design packages for conceptual and basic engineering projects, defined project design basis and scope of work, and lead start-up, and troubleshooting of first-of-the-kind Units.

Mrs. Medina’s prior experience includes serving as a process engineer at the research and development center of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) in Venezuela for 17 years. In her role at PDVSA, she championed and led the implementation of first-of-a-kind technologies in etherification, naphtha, and diesel desulfurization. Jackeline holds a Chemical Engineer degree from Simon Bolivar University, Caracas. Venezuela.
