With 29 years of experience in Supply Chain Optimization and Industrial Engineering for the Refining and Chemical industry, Darren has held key roles in international consulting over the past 14 years as Manager of Value Chain Optimization, Principal Consultant and Global Product Manager with clients worldwide. His expertise spans refinery and petrochemical planning, scheduling, crude selection, product blending, logistics, trading, economics, LP modeling (PIMS, RPMS, GRTMPS, Petro, Spiral), business process improvement and compliance. Previously, at Flint Hills Resources, he led business development, planning, scheduling, compliance, and oil loss and performance management activities, focusing on optimizing hydrocarbon supply chains and margin capture through project leadership, business analytics, and data visualization. He currently is a member of the AFPM Sustainability Committee as well as a member of the Academic Advisory Board in Industrial Engineering for Texas A&M Kingsville University.
