Tiago Coelho

Tiago Coelho is a Product Development Advisor at Fábrica Carioca de Catalisadores (FCC S.A.), focused on the development of advanced FCC catalysts for the South American refining market. With over 13 years of experience in catalysis and catalytic processes, he works from lab-scale research to pilot testing and commercial support, bridging technical challenges with practical refinery needs. He earned a Ph.D. in Catalysis from UFRJ, including a joint research period at Université de Strasbourg, specializing in selective hydrodesulfurization of gasoline. His expertise covers materials such as zeolites, hydrotalcites, and equilibrium catalysts. Tiago has authored more than 12 scientific papers and two book chapters and is active in industry–academia collaborations to advance catalyst innovation.
