Bernt E. Tysseland

Bernt E. Tysseland is the Managing Director of Equinor Refining Norway AS and Head of all Equinor’s involvement at Mongstad main plant. At Mongstad Equinor own and operate Norway’s last oil refinery, an NGL processing plant (Vestprosess), a crude oil terminal (MTDA), a heating plant and Equinor deliver operation support to Technology Centre Mongstad (TCM )– the world’s largest technology centre for CO2 capture from flue gas.  

Bernt is an experienced Vice President Operations with a demonstrated history of working in the energy and defence sectors with a special focus on improvements. Skilled in Oil and Gas operations, Safety Management, Project and Change Management, as well as Operation of Digital Solutions for Operations and general Leadership. He is a business development professional with a PhD focused in System Supportability and a MSc in Defence Systems Management.
