Fernando Alonso de la Vega

Fernando Alonso de la Vega is Executive Director of Refining Operations with responsibility for Repsol Refineries in Spain. Prior to this, Mr. Alonso was Repsol’s Chief Digital and Information Officer. Mr. Alonso holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He joined Repsol in 1994 as a project engineer for the refining business in which he spent 17 years in technical and management positions within the Engineering and Maintenance Area. Later on he was moved to Repsol’s headquarters where, as an Innovation Director, he promoted some key transformational projects for Refining and Petrochemical businesses. During recent years he was in charge of some corporate services (IT, Procurement, Asset Management and Security) and as CDIO he was responsible for defining and launching Repsol’s Digital Program.
