Iain Hall

Iain Hall is the Technology lead for IGS. He has been with IG since the late 90’s with early adoption of thermal spray for internal vessel protection in the coal to gas to liquid synthesis hydrocarbon industry in South Africa. He supported the European operations in Sweden for a stint in the early 2000’s. For the last 25 years he has been based at the technology center in Richmond Virginia. His team is responsible for the development, and performance testing of metal and ceramic surface cladding technologies, and the robotic systems for the protection of mission critical process equipment globally. Specific areas of interest are new energy and revitalization of old energy industries in a low carbon environment. He currently supports user specific engineering standard development in Asia, Europe and the Americas as well as ongoing development of materials for new industry sectors.
