John Baric

John Baric joined Shell in 1981 and has held a variety of technical specialist and consultancy roles within Shell. As a hydroprocessing specialist he was responsible for technical services to refinery operations, technology selection for achieving compliance with low sulphur fuels legislation, and support to refinery master planning and configuration studies. He is based in Amsterdam and has worked for Shell Catalysts & Technologies in technology licensing for the past 17 years, primarily responsible for hydrocracking and base oils technologies and residue upgrading. He obtained his degree in Chemical Engineering from Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Canada. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario, Canada.
