Senior Advisor – New Fuels, Parkland Refining

Jonathan Tyler (PEng, MSc) is the Sr Advisor – New Fuels at the Parkland Refinery, British Columbia (PRBC), Canada refinery. He is a chemical engineer passionate about determining effective outcomes to meet business needs. His current role at the Parkland Refinery is on business strategy & analysis to chart a course within the energy transition. Focus areas include: co-ordination of Low Carbon Aviation Fuel production, management of incentive programs and early phase project identification and economic evaluation. He has been actively involved with renewable-fuels production at PRBC via co-processing since initial pilot testing to the recent successful manufacture and delivery of low carbon jet fuel to airline customers.

Jonathan has broad experience in the western Canadian energy landscape having held roles at a number of different organizations including: Asset Manager (FortisBC – gas utility) and a decade as an R&D consultant for the energy industry.
