Lazar Krstić is a Senior Partner with McKinsey & Company based in Zurich, Switzerland.
Lazar leads McKinsey’s client service in Oil and Gas Downstream and Low-Carbon Energy globally, and is the convener of McKinsey’s special cross-industry initiative on sustainable fuels. He also serves on the leadership team of McKinsey’s cross-industry Sustainability Growth Platform, where he focuses on the impact of ESG-linked considerations on strategy development and performance in the capital markets.
Since first joining the Firm in 2007, Lazar has been a key member of McKinsey’s O&G practice in McKinsey’s Central European, New York and Swiss offices, with expertise in both upstream and downstream, including in new energies. He has advised oil and gas companies – from majors to NOCs to independents – in the US, Western and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East on strategy, organization and performance topics.
During 2013-14, while away from McKinsey, Lazar served as the Minister of Finance in the Government of Serbia.
He holds a dual B.A. degree in Mathematics and Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale University (Phi Beta Kappa, Magna cum Laude).
He is fluent in English and Serbian.
