Marcos Matijasevich

With an MBA from Oxford University, Marcos is a Chemical Engineer and senior leader with a long career in the oil refining and petrochemical industries. Marcos has held a variety of senior roles within manufacturing, projects and technology and is currently responsible for Essar’s decarbonisation strategy in the UK, where he is developing and implementing low-carbon-transition projects to achieve the company’s vision. Marcos is also chairman of the Hydrogen Advocacy and CCUS Committee within the UK Petroleum Industry Association, which aims to ensure the transformation of the Oil Downstream Sector as a key enabler to deliver a Net Zero UK.
