Dr. Monica Normark

Dr. Monica Normark leads the global biofuels technology portfolio at KBR. Dr Normark has launched PureSAF® which can utilize both alcohols and CO2 into renewable jet fuel. Her interest area includes biorefining of lignocellulose into biofuels, green chemicals and renewable materials that will benefit sustainable development and improve energy security. She began her career in traditional pulp and paper industry. Before joining KBR in Jan 2022, she was the CTO for the Swedish company Sekab, which produces and sells green chemicals. Monica has developed innovative biorefinery technology for biomass conversion into biofuels and green chemicals.
