Nelson Angulo

Mr. Angulo is a Process engineer with over 23 years of experience in the oil refining industry. He has played various technical and leadership positions. Nelson has undertaken roles such as a Process Engineer, Project Process Leader, Integrity Engineer and the Operation’s Head of Department. Nelson also acted as an instructor for Ecopetrol´s training program. Furthermore, he has also acted as the Process leader for conceptual/basic engineering, capital projects as well as member of the ECP´s and Corporate Process Safety Committee. The Corporate Process Safety Committee implemented Process Safety Management Systems (PSM) at ECP. Nelson Angulo also has experience in executing Risk Analysis methodologies. Nowadays, he is a Cracking Head of Department, responsible for maintaining very high HSE and PSM standards. Additionally, Nelson is in charge of the production plan, and executing significant annual budgets for day to day operation and for turnarounds.
