Nicolas Rankovic

Nicolas is a part of Saudi Aramco Transport Technologies R&D team located in Paris, France. He joined Aramco after completing his PhD in chemical engineering in 2013 from the University of Paris and the French Petroleum institute, in the field of heterogeneous catalysis for automotive applications. Since 2013, he evolved in various R&D roles in the field of fuel chemistry, fuel combustion, refining technologies and environmental impacts of innovative and alternative fuels. Nicolas is leading Aramco’s R&D program on low climate impact fuels, with a focus on low carbon energy vectors derived from renewable energy. A significant part of his activities is dedicated on engineering and commissioning a pilot plant for CO2-derived fuels production, developed jointly with leading EU technology providers.
