Dr. Stefan Smith

Dr. Stefan Smith is the Head of Strategic Projects for DiviGas, where he is responsible for strategic partnerships and translating the company’s proprietary membrane technology into client applications across a wide range of industries and use-cases. He joined DiviGas after more than 10 years of materials research and development for gas separations including membranes, metal-organic frameworks, and porous liquids.

Prior to moving to Australia, Stefan was the lead chemist for a 50MWe carbon capture pilot plant associated with the Aberthaw Power Station (UK). Stefan holds an MBA and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Monash University. He is a Chartered Chemist (MRACI CChem) with the Royal Australian Chemical Institute and has held several leadership positions with the Membrane Society of Australasia.
