Steve Elwart

Steve Elwart is the Director of Systems Engineering for Ergon Refining, Inc. in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Steve has a 40-year career in the Oil Industry and has worked in different aspects of the business from the well-head to gas pumps. Elwart also works with the Departments of Homeland Security and Energy as well as several intelligence agencies as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity and industrial control systems.He is a member many professional and technical organizations and has written over 100 articles on cybersecurity, process automation, leadership and geopolitics. Elwart has also lectured at numerous national laboratories, universities and conferences across North America. Steve is a registered professional engineer in the State of Mississippi and has served on the user boards for Emerson Process Management, the Institute for Infrastructure Protection, and the American Fuels and Petrochemical Manufacturers Association. He has also been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association and the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
